Roots Reggae singer/songwriter Mystic Bowie will be performing at the 22nd staging of Western Consciousness. Western Consciousness is one of Jamaica’s premiere calendar events, known for its presentation of artists of the highest standards. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 22 at the spacious and beautiful Paradise Park in Savanna-La-Mar, Westmoreland, Jamaica.

Since the launch of his latest album “Nevah Kiss and Tell”, in Jamaica on November 10 and his appearance at Negril Escape Winter Concert Series alongside Tarrus Rile on November 17 last year, Mystic Bowie has not performed on the Island and his fans are hungrily looking forward to see him on stage with his energetic vibes and the positive messages he always delivers.

Proudly, 20 year old Tamika Houde of Grange Hill, Westmoreland, Jamaica beams; then screams “Thank you Jesus” when she received a telephone call on the morning of Wednesday January 6, 2010 that the production of her first recorded song is finally complete and ready for rotation on radio stations home and abroad.

The song which was written by Tamika Houde and produced by Highlight Records in Westmoreland is entitled ‘Jesus is All I Want’. Executive Producer for this project is Gillian Larmond/Lady Mystery.

In a world where quality in sound and music is sometimes compromised for the hype, it is a rare occasion when you get the complete package in one artiste. The hot, sexy, soulful songstress, Keri Paige is such an artiste and is here to add a new flavour to the reggae music scene.

Keri’s gift of melody was realized at age eleven when she sang at school and throughout the community of Savanna-La-Mar in Westmoreland, Jamaica, where she was born. She developed a passion for music and nurtured her talent as a vocalist and songwriter.

Keri began her professional career as a dominant presence on the Jamaican North Coast hotel circuit, which later led to the release of her first song entitled, “Shine;” released by Dynamic Sounds in 1996 and a second single, “My Way” on the Boot Camp Label in 1999.

Her tremendous talent, demonstrated by her inspired lyrics and good vocal range and versatility, plus the texture and quality of her voice, made her a producer’s dream. With the solid intention of stamping her true authority in the music fraternity, Keri continued working assiduously, stirring a tremendous amount of interest and attention.

In July 2000, Barry O’Hare of World A Muzik Productions, produced a track with Keri called “Mr. DJ.” The track did extremely well on the airwaves and this led to Air Jamaica Airlines immediately including the song in their in-flight program. In August of that same year, she was awarded Artiste of the Month for Juice Magazine. In July 2002, Byron Murray and Street Music went in hot pursuit of Keri Paige, apparently mesmerized by her melodic voice.

They produced a song entitled “I Want A Carpenter” and again in 2003 they produced the hit song “New Day.” This also led to collaboration with reggae superstar, Sizzla, with a track called “Oops.” As Keri’s popularity grew, she went on to record “I Love You Baby” on the Big Yard Label in 2006 and “He Loves Me, He Loves Me not,” featuring Lethal on the Top Secret Label.

Keri has performed on Teensplash, Unity Splash, Rise to the Occasion and Super Reggae Jam, where she shared the state with reggae/dancehall greats such as Beres Hammond, Richie Stephens, Beenie Man, Sizzla, Elephant Man, Cecile and Lady Saw, to name a few. Her face can also be seen on several corporate advertisements and commercials. She has just completed her new single and video, “Hey Sexy,” on the Fire Mix Label and is poised to take her career up another level on the international scene. She is also concentrating on writing songs for her debut album.

Keri Paige represents a new sound and quality in dancehall/reggae, one which is energetic and exciting and is guaranteed to keep music lovers all over the world tapping their feet to a new beat!

Being the hot, sexy, glamorous and fashionable person she is Keri took time off her musical career in 2009, to concentrate on setting up her women fashion business, known as K.P. Fashions in Savanna-la-Mar, Western Jamaica. While on her break the music in her would not allow her to go the whole year without performing for her fans. She made a few appearances at events held in Western Jamaica, including the Jamaica’s biggest food show; The Westmoreland Curry Festival, where she received and outstanding response from the crowd.

2010 will see the return of Keri Paige in dancehall/reggae arena, bigger, better and hotter, doing live performances, recording new songs and videos for her national and international audience.
