Mystic Bowie to appear at Western Consciousness

Roots Reggae singer/songwriter Mystic Bowie will be performing at the 22nd staging of Western Consciousness. Western Consciousness is one of Jamaica’s premiere calendar events, known for its presentation of artists of the highest standards. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 22 at the spacious and beautiful Paradise Park in Savanna-La-Mar, Westmoreland, Jamaica.
Since the launch of his latest album “Nevah Kiss and Tell”, in Jamaica on November 10 and his appearance at Negril Escape Winter Concert Series alongside Tarrus Rile on November 17 last year, Mystic Bowie has not performed on the Island and his fans are hungrily looking forward to see him on stage with his energetic vibes and the positive messages he always delivers.

Tamika Houde’s First Recorded Song – ‘Jesus is All I Want’
Proudly, 20 year old Tamika Houde of Grange Hill, Westmoreland, Jamaica beams; then screams “Thank you Jesus” when she received a telephone call on the morning of Wednesday January 6, 2010 that the production of her first recorded song is finally complete and ready for rotation on radio stations home and abroad.
The song which was written by Tamika Houde and produced by Highlight Records in Westmoreland is entitled ‘Jesus is All I Want’. Executive Producer for this project is Gillian Larmond/Lady Mystery.
Gillian Larmond/Lady Mystery promoter of Gospel in the West – Gospel Song Competition is elated about the production of the song, which is a result of her first gospel song competition and has decided to do a video shoot for it early this year.

Soulful Songstress Keri Paige
In a world where quality in sound and music is sometimes compromised for the hype, it is a rare occasion when you get the complete package in one artiste. The hot, sexy, soulful songstress, Keri Paige is such an artiste and is here to add a new flavour to the reggae music scene.
Keri’s gift of melody was realized at age eleven when she sang at school and throughout the community of Savanna-La-Mar in Westmoreland, Jamaica, where she was born. She developed a passion for music and nurtured her talent as a vocalist and songwriter.
Keri began her professional career as a dominant presence on the Jamaican North Coast hotel circuit, which later led to the release of her first song entitled, “Shine;” released by Dynamic Sounds in 1996 and a second single, “My Way” on the Boot Camp Label in 1999.
Her tremendous talent, demonstrated by her inspired lyrics and good vocal range and versatility, plus the texture and quality of her voice, made her a producer’s dream. Gospel/Reggae singer and song writer Jeremey Thompson
Jeremey ‘JT’ Thompson was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica. He was educated at the Savanna-la-Mar Primary and Petersfield High School. His first point of contact on a daily basis is God, the creator of all things, from whom he receives inspiration.
He is a Christian who loves and sings cultural reggae, lover’s rock, R&B and gospel music. JT is from a very talented family, which includes: singers, professional dancers, model and radio announcer.
Like most musical entertainers in Jamaica, he started singing in the church, where he performed solo acts, as well as being the choir leader for many years. He is now writing and singing his own songs and based on reviews to date his music is doing well and getting regular rotation on popular radio stations across Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean. New Gospel Singer Tameka Houde
Tamika Houde was born on April 3, 1989 in Grange Hill, Westmoreland where she currently lives. She was educated at the Grange Hill Primary School where she was successful in her GSAT examinations and was placed in the Grange Hill High School where she successfully completed her secondary level education.
As a child she was exposed to Christianity and attended church on a regular basis. She started her singing career at age 3, and was promoted to singing in the junior and youth choir, as well as being the leader of her church’s praise and worship team.
Since then Tamika has performed at several gospel shows in and around Westmoreland. She has entered numerous gospel competitions, including the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Gospel Song Competition and Gospel in the West – Gospel Song Competition. Read the rest of this entry »
